My knees were shaking I felt scared we beat them last time maybe we could beat them again. The scoreboard screamed at me the game was starting.

Ryan leaped through the air hitting the ball out of our enemies hands.The ball soared through the air. Ryan grabbed it and started bouncing the ball so hard the ground began to shake. Suddenly he through it into the hoop and scored a goal with no one knowing it was coming.

I raced down the court like a cheetah trying to catch its prey. I snatched The ball from our enemies hands and I sprinted down the court and scored. The other team sweared in anger.

It was half time. We were losing. The score was 16 to 23. My mum/the coach told our Team to ‘’try as hard as you can and get up in there grill’’.

My ear drums were tingling from the squeaking shoes on the hard shiny floor.

The other team fouled out and our team got automatic free throws.

Our supporters were cheering “ GO FRANKLEY!!! ‘’. Suddenly boing, boing, doink as the ball went into our goal.

Two thundering timers screamed and then our timer went off. “We won!!!”. Everyone was cheering and clapping. All the boys ran and hugged each other where as the girls joined into a separate group hug. Our red faces had the hugest grins.

Suddenly everyone went quiet the loudspeaker was talking congratulations to frankley firebirds for winning the best primary school in 2018. pam the medal giverouterer they gave  us our medals and we took a nice photo all together. yyyyyyyyyyyaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhooooooooooooooooooooo!!!

chocolate chip cookies

   Chocolate chip cookies     Ingredients: 200g butter,1 cup brown sugar, 1 tsp vanilla essence, 2 ¼  cup flour , 1 ½ tsp baking powder

,1 cup chocolate chips    

• Preheat oven to 180 celsius fan bake, cream butter sugar and vanilla essence until light and fluffy. then beat in the egg.
• Mix in sifted flour, baking powder and  chocolate chips.
• Roll the mixture into balls and place on baking trays lined with baking paper, press them down a little bit with a fork. Leave a space between each cookie because it will spread. Bake for 15 -20 mins

      And enjoy.

trip to the museum

today me and Ella went to the dinosaur museum. we looked at all of the dinosaur fossils and the motion sensor dinosaurs. Here are some pictures of me and Ella at the museum

On Friday the 9th of February 2017 i was walking home from school and i found my cat inky in a driveway. he looked hurt. i ran home and got my mum we went to the driveway that he was in and we carried him to the car and drove to the vets he had grazes on his legs the vet said that he got run over by a car and that he had broken his back and he was paralyzed and that he couldn't get better so the vet got some light pink water and shaved his leg and put in the pink water with a needle and he fell asleep we put him into a box with a rose and we took him home and buried him.

W.I.T

for my W.I.T me and Aria filled boxes with toys and stuff like that to the children in the children ward.

there was only 3 baby so we didn't get to hand them out.

we needed some help taking the boxes so we invited Ashley to help us.

My Kowhaiwhai Art

I designed this stencil to represent me and my mum. With this stencil I flipped it to make the design for my ko whai whai then slid the stencil along the paper. Next we chose our colour's to paint, I picked The colour yellow because I thought it would stand out more then I painted the koru a silver and glued silver glitter on top. I like the way my ko whaiwhai turned out because it stands out the way I wanted it to.

Millipede Information Report

Fascinating Millipedes  

Wow! Did you know that every segment on a millipede’s back is two legs? Imagine how many legs a millipede would have if it had 800 segments that would be a lot of legs.

Life Cycle

The female millipede can be lay up to 35 sticky eggs at once. When the baby millipedes hatch they only have 4 pairs of legs but they shed their skin as they grow. Each time the baby millipedes shed their skin they develop more body segments and legs.

Predators

Millipedes that make their homes outdoors are prey to birds, including domestic chickens, Ground beetles, ants and spiders may also hunt young millipedes.

Habitat

Millipedes inhabit areas under rocks, in the leaf litter, in rotting logs and occasionally in burrows which are all known as micro-habitats.

One day if you find a millipede you could probably use some of these facts to keep your pet millipede alive and remember that millipedes do have families too so make sure that you let them out after you have finished observing them.

when i grow up

When I grow up I want to be a paramedic because I can ride in a ambulance and maybe save someones life. To be a paramedic you have to be able to keep calm and get on with your job. You have to be good at maths too because it is a good tool to use in an emergency. 


      That is my job when I grow up.

In the Holiday's i went on to trade me and looked at some puppies and my mum was watching me. I looked at a golden retriever and a red fox lab retriever.  I thought they were so cute. 

The red fox lab retriever had big floppy ears. The puppy is a girl. Its name is London. She lives in Hawke's bay. We have to drive to Hawke's bay to have a look at the puppy. it said on the info that she was the last dog left and  the hardest dog to look after in the  litter. I am going to get her for Christmas.

My Amazing Holiday

In the holidays I flew to Christchurch by myself. I got a necklace and a bracelet so that my mum can track me when I'm on the flight. When I was on the plane every five minutes,my mum would get a text that would say something like this, Lucia is boarding the plane. Lucia is taking off.  It let my mum know that everything was under control.

When I got off the plane I saw my nana & Nono.   When I got to the house I saw a parking ticket in the window wipers. I told Nana and she just said never mind. When I got inside I needed to get ready because I was going to go to my cousin Katie’s school. My Nono took me to Katie's house because the school is just across the road. Katie was already at school but it was their assembly so auntie Nikki took me to the hall and I found Katie.  

At the assembly there were three Crusaders  from the Canterbury rugby team. They asked us a few questions to see if we knew what the questions were and if we got them right he would win prize. Some of the prizes were tickets to the Crusaders rugby game and a rugby ball signed by the Crusaders.

When it was finished I went to Katie’s class and we made some Anzac things. I drew the dawn parade and I made a poem about the war.

After school we played on the comfortable hammocks. Me and Katie went up to her room and it was very pink and had lots of makeup and special things. Then we went downstairs and watched some TV.  We had pizza for dinner I made one and auntie Nikki thought that was the best pizza. Then we went to bed and read some books.

The next day Nana came to pick me up we went to Kmart and I bought heaps of stuff. Before we went to Kmart my Nana went to her work. She worked at a really fancy rest home. We had morning tea there and there was lots of sweet stuff. I had a caramel slice it was delicious.

After we went to Kmart I went back to Nana’s house and had some lunch. I had pancakes I put the whip cream on my pancakes and then put another pancake on top and I did that about three times.  Then I drizzled golden syrup all over it. It was delicious.

After my cousins had finished school Auntie Ana picked me up from Nana’s house and we went to Bishopdale Park. Me and Charlotte made a huge leaf pile. When we were finished we climbed onto a tree and jumped into the big pile of leaves and our hair was covered in leaves. Then we had some water and the bacon and egg pie.

After that we went to auntie Anna's house and uncle Hugh and I made a garden with leeks and lettuce. It was fun and I got very dirty. After that me and Charlotte had a shower and put on our pyjamas and had dinner.  We had wraps with chicken, carrot, and cheese. Then we watched a movie called Pants on Fire.  It was funny. After that we went to bed.

The next day everyone went to get wood and we played around in the bush. On way back the trailer started squeaking so Uncle Hugh dropped the trailer and a random person's driveway. It was very funny. We went to see a movie called Zootopia and it was scary. We ate some popcorn, some milk, and some wine gums and he left us there. He picked us up after the movie finished. It was 6 o'clock so we got back  and we had a shower and we made a Marae with four mattresses.  We played Chinese whispers until we fell asleep.

The next day I had to pack up my stuff because I was going to stay at Katie's house. Auntie Anna put makeup  on me and Charlotte. We went to auntie Nikki's house for my birthday party. Auntie  Nikki makes the best cakes and it was chocolate cake and it had caramel fudge on top. We had a special kid’s dinner and the cake and dessert. We watched a movie called Mega Mind.

We stayed up until 10 o'clock. Then me and my cousins went outside for fireworks they were amazing.  This was the best holiday of my life.
